Officials say the home was uninhabitable

CATTARAUGUS – Police contacted the SPCA and code enforcement officials after discovering dozens of cats in and around a woman’s home that has now been deemed uninhabitable.

The home had no utilities and was described as ‘a mess’. The home has been declared as dangerous and non-inhabitable, and will remain so until utilities are turned back on and the property is cleaned up.

Jennifer Beck, 39, of Cattaraugus is accused of harboring the felines in an inadequate environment, and will face charges later this month in a New Albion Court.
