The bridge will then be transported to CARP Park, where it will remain until the new 7th Street bridge has been constructed.

Once the 7th Street bridge has been built, the temporary bridge on 4th Street will then be removed and the old 7th Street bridge will be placed on 4th Street, where it will be used for pedestrian travel only.

The 7th Street bridge in Coudersport is the oldest bridge of it’s type (King Bridge) in Pennsylvania, and has said to possibly be the oldest bridge of it’s type in the United States.

Update (9:40 am Friday, Jan. 14) – Workers at the site told CoudyNews that they are currently waiting for a crane to arrive and possibly expect the removal of the bridge to take place between 1 – 2pm today.
