Anna R. Mattison, 92, formerly of 970 High Street

Anna R. Mattison, 92, formerly of 970 High Street, passed away Thursday, February 17th, 2011 at the Bradford Ecumenical Home.

Born March 1, 1918, in Bradford, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Sophie (Koval) Fetyko.

On August 26, 1944 in St. Bernard Church she married William E. Mattison Jr. who passed away  December 18, 2006.

She was a member of Our Mother of Perpetual Help Church.

An avid golfer, Mrs. Mattison was a former member of Pine Acres Country Club.

She is survived by a son, Dr. Richard E. (Christine) Mattison of Stony Brook NY, two grandchildren: Lara A. (Brent) Bauman of Harrisburg and Brian E. (Eva) Mattison of Prague, Czech Republic and one great grandson, Oliver Mattison and a sister, Helen Hagelin of Bradford.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Kay Benton, Janet Bloomer and three brothers, Charles Fetyko, who died in WWII, Michael Fetyko and John Fetyko.

Friends are invited to call from 3-5 and 7-9 PM Sunday, February 20, 2011 in The Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc. East Main St., where a prayer service will be held at 12:15 PM Monday, February 21, 2011 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1 PM in Our Mother of Perpetual Help Church, with Father Samuel B. Slocum, Pastor and Rev. Leo J. Gallina, Pastor of St. Bernard Church, con-celebrating.  Committal services and burial will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery.
