BREAKING: Man Shot in Salamanca

SALAMANCA – At just before 10:30 p.m. on Friday, police and medical personnel were called for a man with multiple gunshot wounds in Salamanca.

Police quickly secured the scene of the shooting, although at the time of this posting the shooter is believed to still be at large.

MercyFlight medical helicopter out of Buffalo was dispatched to the scene.

At this time the condition of the patient is unknown.

UPDATE – Police say 22-year-old Vincent E. Harris, of Buffalo, was shot while in a home at 532 East State Street in Salamanca. Harris then escaped his shooter by jumping out of a window and running down the road where he found a ride. He was later transported by MercyFlight medical helicopter to an out of town hospital. Police did not find the shooter at the home.

UPDATE  (11:10 pm) – Man has suffered 3 gunshot wounds; one to the hand, one to the shoulder and one to the abdomen. Reports indicate the victim is still alive and about to be transported by medical helicopter.
