From Potter County Today

gazebodonationThe gazebo/bandstand at the courthouse square has stood for more than 30 years. Last week, Coudersport New Century Club (NCC) donated more than $2,250 to the Potter County Board of Commissioners to support ongoing maintenance of the structure. Dwindling membership has caused club leaders to take steps to assure continued care of the gazebo, a focal point of the square. It has been used for musical performances, public informational programs, weddings and other functions. NCC was formed in 1905 to support forward-looking community service. The gazebo, built in 1981, is a lasting gift to Potter County. The club also supports the Coudersport Public Library building fund, Arbor Day plantings and a project for newborns at Charles Cole Memorial Hospital. Shown from left during the check presentation are Commissioner Paul Heimel, NCC officers Donna Lehman and Ilene Altenhein, and Commissioners Doug Morley and Susan Kefover.
