CN’s Person of the Month: Coudersport Icon, Irvin ‘Happy’ Duell

COUDERSPORT – If you have ever been to Coudersport, then you know Irvin Duell, known to many residents as ‘Irv’ or ‘Happy’.
Irv can be seen walking around town on just about any given day, and you can rest assured that he will greet you with a smile and a wave in passing, whether you are on foot or in car.
This morning Irv started his day bright and early at 4:00 am, shovel in hand, ready for a full day of snow removal.
Irv maintains many walks in town for area businesses and residents and never hesitates to offer a helping hand.
Irv’s good nature, smiling demeanor, helping hands and great personality have convinced us that he deserves to be recognized as our first ever ‘Person of the Month’.
So, if you see Irv out shoveling the walks or walking through town, be sure to give him a hardy smile, a welcoming wave, or a honk of the horn and congratulate him on being CoudyNews’ Person of the Month.

This man definitely deserves this and every other award. Great citizen. I just talked to him the other day and he said he has been out since 4:00am shoveling sidewalks.. this was at 11:00 thats most peoples whole work day…. all put in before some even get to work… great job irv =)
