Coudersport Driver and Three Passengers Rolled Car, Fled Scene

EULALIA TWP. – A Coudersport man and three teenagers were taken to Charles Cole Hospital by a friend after crashing on the West Branch Dingman Run Road, Saturday, June 4 at 2:30 am.

Police say a known 17-year-old Coudersport male was driving at an unsafe speed when the rear of his car began to slide, hit an embankment, and then rolled onto its side. The car then slid into a ditch, rolled onto its roof and continued to slide for approximately 50 feet before coming to rest.

The driver and three passengers; Zachary D. Buchholz, age 20; Kip K. Dorney, age 19; and Daniel T. Moore, age 18, are accused of rolling the car back onto its wheels and pushing it off the roadway before fleeing the scene without notifying authorities.

Police say the passengers were later taken to Charles Cole Hospital by a friend.

No charges were listed in the crash, but police say an investigation continues.
