1 min read

ROULETTE TWP. – A Coudersport man escaped injury after losing control of his 2000 Chrysler Concorde on a slush-covered Route 6 earlier today.

State Police said 54-year-old Marle L. VanBergen was driving east on Route 6 when slush in the center of the road began pulling his car into the oncoming lane. VanBergen attempted to correct the car, but eventually lost control. As a result, his car traveled across the oncoming lane of traffic, hit an embankment and slid backwards 90 feet before coming to rest.

His car suffered severe front and right side damage, and was towed from the scene by Kightlinger Motors of Coudersport.

VanBergen will be charged with Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic.

Roulette Volunteer Fire and Ambulance assisted at the scene.
