Coudersport Senior Accepted into Foreign Exchange Program

The Coudersport Rotary Club announced today that Rachel Morris, daughter of David and Beverly Morris, was accepted into the short-term foreign exchange program to be held this summer.

The Coudersport Rotary Club sponsors both long-term and short-term foreign exchange students.  The long-term exchange extends an entire high school year of studies while short-term exchange students, like Rachel, spend only a summer abroad.  Rachel will be spending ½ of her summer in Austria , while her family will host a female foreign exchange student from Austria for the other ½ of the summer.

Rachel Morris is a Senior at the Coudersport Jr/Sr High School who plans on attending PSU Behrend where she will major in Behavioral Health.  This summer, Rachel will participate in the Rotary Foreign Exchange program as a exchange student to Austria.  She has 3 years experience in the Mock Trial, as well as Model UN and has participated in the school musicals for 5 years.  She has been a member of the school’s marching band for 6 years and is a National Honor Society student.  Rachel is the daughter of David and Beverly Morris of Coudersport.

Those families wanting to learn more about the process of becoming a foreign exchange host family are asked to contact JOHN LEETE at 274-9720 Ext. 4.
