Crop Production/Pesticide Meeting Scheduled Feb. 4

A program geared toward agricultural producers and others interested in farming is scheduled for Port Allegany. On Friday, Feb. 4, McKean County Conservation District will hold its Crop Production and Winter Pesticide Update Meeting at the Gethsemane Lutheran Church Hall in Port Allegany, starting at 1 pm. Those attending must register no later than Friday, Jan. 28, by calling Judy Eckert at Cooperative Extension, 274-8540.

There will be updates on nutrient management, no-till systems/weed control, vegetable pest populations and trends, pesticides and the environment, natural pesticides and allelopathy, and the Potter/Cameron Counties’ CHEMSWEEP.
