Delores M. “Dede” Kellner, 73, of Coudersport

Delores M. “Dede” Kellner, 73, of Coudersport, PA died Saturday, February 5, 2011 as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident near Jersey Shore, PA.

Born on May 11, 1937 in Farmington Township, Tioga County, she was the daughter of Fred and Clara Southard Day. On January 22, 1954 in Little Marsh, PA she married Francis W. “Mutt” Kellner, who died on July 11, 2010.

Mrs. Kellner was formerly employed at Galeton Production, Mapleview Rest Home, and Charles Cole Memorial Hospital. In 1979 she began working as a private caregiver to area families. She was a member of Park United Methodist Church and American Legion Potter Post 192 Auxiliary. Mrs. Kellner enjoyed doing crafts, reading, gambling and gardening.

Surviving are three daughters, Kathy Gross (Paul Dingman) of Coudersport, Cindy (Ken) McCoy of Ulysses, PA, Teri (Tony) Wool of Jersey Shore, PA, nine grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, one brother, Fred Day of Middlebury Center, PA, two sisters, Vera Karhan of Germania, PA, and Anna “Bunny” (Harold) Monk of Middlebury Center, PA, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a granddaughter, one great-granddaughter, Tyler Freeman, two brothers, Donald Day, and Charles “Lindy” Day, and four sisters, Iris Bunnell, Judy Connelly, Florence Niles and Cora Lucas.

Friends are invited to attend a memorial service to be held at 11:00am Friday, February 11, 2011 at the Fickinger Funeral Home of Coudersport. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Eulalia Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion Potter Post 192 Auxiliary, 2 Buffalo Street, Coudersport, PA 16915.
