this month the governor of Ohio and other officials expressed huge concern about the prescription drug abuse in Ohio going epidemic. Also last week one of the largest meth labs was busted in Corning. The community needs to care about this and take meaningful action. Governor of Ohio said that presciption drug abuse is an epidemic in Ohio. Also Corning had one of the largest meth lab busts this week. Oregon greatly reduced meth production by making Sudafed a prescription drug but they said other states are not following because the pharma lobby wants to sell Sudaphed over the counter. The whole topic of drug abuse needs to be addressed on many levels— maybe start with a discussion why is it so prominent now and what could help?
