Elnora Ransom Knauer, 92, of Coudersport died Thursday, March 22, 2012, in CCMH.  Born September 3, 1919, in Bingham Township, PA, she was the daughter of Rufus and Helen Shut Johnson.  She attended the country school in Ischua, NY, and graduated from Lewisville Vocational High School in Ulysses in 137.

She was employed at the Anchor Toy Factory in Coudersport, Cooper-Slide in Genesee, a furniture manufacturer in Canisteo, NY, Mapes Woodworking in Whitesville, NY, and worked as a caregiver for many area residents.

Elnora attended the First Baptist Church in Roulette and more recently the Bingham Center Bible Church.

She was a member of the West Bingham Grange and Coudersport Senior Center.

Surviving are:  three sons; Eugene (Patricia) Ransom of Conesus, NY; Robert (Paula) Ransom of Whitesville, NY; and Dale (Georgia) Ransom of Genesee, PA; 17 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and 12 step-children.

She was pre-deceased by her first husband, Howard E. Ransom, in 1959; her second husband, George Knauer, Sr., in 1984; a daughter-in-law Carol Ransom; three brothers, Daniel Johnson, Donald Johnson and Arthur Eugene Johnson; two sisters, Mary Springer and Helen Mae Burrous; and three step-children.

Friends may call Saturday, March 24th, 2012, from 2:00 to 4:00 and from 7:00 to 9:00 PM and the Olney Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Ulysses, PA, where funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:00 PM.  Pastor Harold Kiel will officiate.  Burial will be in North Bingham Cemetary.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bingham Center Bible Church or the Coudersport Senior Center.
