EMPORIUM – The past administrator of the Emporium Moose Lodge #368 has been arrested and charged with embezzling over $63,000 in money from the club.

Emporium Borough Police say that 43 year-old James Geelen of Emporium allegedly took the money over a period of a year through illegal use of the club’s credit card and checking account.

Geelen is facing several charges, including, theft by deception, forgery and theft by failing to make required disposition of funds received. Moose officials say the club has closed it’s doors because of heavy losses, which includes the embezzlement of funds.
