Field Trip To Natural Gas Drilling Areas Held; More Coming

Citizens who are concerned about the potential impact of Marcellus Shale natural gas drilling on local water supplies led a tour of two sites last weekend for interested citizens.

Laurie Barr (shown) of Roulette and Melissa Troutman of Coudersport helped to organize the field trip and discuss some of their observations in tracking drilling activity and monitoring environmental issues.  About 25 people attended. The leaders said additional tours will likely be scheduled.
