Final Unofficial Results From May 17 Municipal Primary

results1With all 33 of Potter County’s election districts reporting, posted below are the unofficial results of the contested races in the May 17 Municipal Primary Election. Election officials will not be able to determine for some time whether any of the candidates for countywide office received a sufficient number of Democratic write-in votes (100 or more are required) to receive that party’s nomination. Nominees from the Municipal Primary will have their names appearing on the ballot for the November 8 Municipal Election.

COUNTYWIDE OFFICES

Sheriff, 4-Year Term (Republican): Kenneth Sauley 1,750; Roy Hunt 854. (No candidates on the ballot for the Democratic nomination).

Prothonotary, 4-Year Term (Republican): Kathy Schroeder 1,551; Amy Moshier 1,037. (No candidates on the ballot for the Democratic nomination).

Commissioner, 4-Year Term (Republican; two to be nominated): Paul Heimel 1,824, Doug Morley 1,808,  James Jones 637. (Susan Sullivan Kefover was unopposed for one of the two Democratic nominations; there were no candidates on the ballot for the second nomination).

County Treasurer Krista Miller and Register of Wills/Recorder of Deeds Gary Kelsey were unopposed for renomination to four-year terms on the Republican ballot. There were no candidates for the Democratic nominations. Also unopposed were the three incumbent members of the Potter County Board of Auditors. Pauline Kleintop and Patricia Nichols were renominated by the Republicans. Margo Germino was unopposed for one of the Democratic nominations and there were no candidates for the second Democratic nomination.

DISTRICT JUDGE (Shinglehouse District)

Magisterial District Judge 55-4-01 (Shinglehouse District), 6-Year Term: With all 11 voting districts reporting, unofficial results are as follows:

Republican: Kari A. Stubbs 631, Theresa Denhoff 305, Kathy J. Garrity 88, Barry L. Church 86

Democrat: Kari A. Stubbs 204, Theresa Denhoff 116, Barry L. Church 33

(Magisterial judge results above include votes from these districts: North Sharon, North Sharon, Oswayo Township, Clara Township, Roulette Township, Oswayo Borough, Shinglehouse Borough, Genesee Township, Allegany Township, Hebron Township and Pleasant Valley Township.)

STATEWIDE JUDICIAL RACES

In the statewide judicial races, here are the final unofficial results from Potter County voters:

Judge of Superior Court: Republican — Vic Stabile 1,351; Paula A. Patrick 829; Democrat — David N. Wecht (unopposed) 644.

Judge of Commonwealth Court: Republican — Paul P. Panepinto 584, Anne Covey 1,588; Democrat — Kathryn Boockvar 239, Barbara Behrend Ernsberger 430.

All results posted above are unofficial. Final official vote counts will not be available until the Potter County Canvassing and Computing Board convenes to certify the election result.

  1. there is no race against her because she cant be beat… shes the best so there is no point in even wasting time with an election… haha actually i dont know for sure but i dont think that district is up for re election yet….
