Galeton Business Destroyed in Fire

Lakeside Inn fire does over $225k in damage

GALETON – The Lakeside Inn, owned by Theresa A. Button, of Imperial, PA, located at 61 Germania Street in the Borough of Galeton, was destroyed by a blaze that began early Friday morning.

Investigators say the Inn was vacant at the time, and no one was injured. Firefighters were able to protect a neighboring residence from the fire after alerting those in the structure to evacuate their home.

The fire, which started at the rear of the structure, is still under investigation. Fire Marshal David A. Surra estimates damages to be in excess of $225,000.
