1 min readGertrude A. Milhisler, 76, of Bradford, passed away on Monday, January 10, 2011 at the Bradford Manor.
She was born on September 20, 1934 in Bradford, a daughter of the late Grant O. and Ella H. Huntoon Work.
On October 4, 1991 she married Kenneth P. Milhisler, who passed away on November 5, 1991.
She was employed by the former Main Street Diner, the former Holley Hotel and the former Congress Street Diner for numerous years as a waitress.
She was a member of the Lt. John C. Roche Post 212 VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She was a die hard Buffalo Bills and Bradford Owls Football fan.
She is survived by one son, Daryl W. (Rachel) Work, Nashville, NC, one daughter, Elona G. (Daniel) Pire, Allegany, NY, one brother, Dalton “Lefty” (Vione) Work, Headland, AL, one sister, Carol (Lester) Simonds, Bradford, six grandchildren, two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband she was also preceded in death by six brothers and three sisters.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 12, 2011 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Mascho Funeral Home, Inc. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, January 13, 2011 at 10:00 with the Rev. Wilbur Work officiating.
Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park, Lafayette twp.
