Hongye Li, MD Receives Pediatric Board Certification

COUDERSPORT – Hongye Li, MD, pediatrician at Charles Cole Memorial Hospital (CCMH), recently received board certification from the American Board of Pediatrics.
Dr. Li has over 15 years of experience in pediatric medicine including pediatric nephrology. In 1993, she completed her medical education and a fellowship in pediatric nephrology at the Henan Medical University in Zhengzhou, China prior to a residency in pediatrics at the Richmond University Medical Center in New York. Dr. Li is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She held past memberships with the American Society of Nephrology, International Society of Nephrology and was a board member of the Henan Society of Nephrology and Pediatrics.

Board certification is a reasonable way to demonstrate a physician’s expertise in a particular specialty of medical practice and has long been that standard set by the Board of Directors of Charles Cole Memorial Hospital.”
Prior to her arrival at Charles Cole Memorial Hospital, Dr. Li was a research scientist at the Division of Nephrology at the Department of Medicine at Stony Brook University Medical Center in New York. Dr. Li has received several awards for pediatric studies and she was a presenter at six Annual Meetings of the American Society of Nephrology, as well as the Henan Society of Nephrology, Chinese Society of Nephrology and Chinese Society of Pediatrics in Bejing.
