The Sweden Valley Faith United Methodist Church would like to thank the Coudersport American Legion for the $1,500.00 donation to our “Send A Kid to Camp” fund drive.
More than 28 kids are set to attend the annual camping on July 22 thru 25th at His Thousand Hills campsite in Wellsboro.
The Kids are also holding a breakfast buffet fundraiser on July 1st at the Hotel Crittenden from 10am to 2pm. Price is just $6.

  1. I am happy to see that the American Legion of my home town has donated such a large sum of money to the Methodist Church of Sweden Valley to send a child to camp.
I am active in my own American Legion Auxiliary Post 108, Franklin, N.C. I was secretary last year 2011, and voted in this year 2012.
We have a scholarship fund that sends 1 to 2 girls to the collage of their choice, and we also send girls to Girls State.
Last year as a Unit, we sent 5517 Christmas Cards to our Troops, also we are sending care packages each month.
We also make sure Veterans, and families are taking care of such as food, bills, taken to doctor appointments, and visting in hospitals, and nursing homes, also all members take care of the elderly by doing yard work, house painting, repairs on their homes and etc.
There are too many to list here, as I am sure the American Legion in Coudersport has. Keep up the good work.
