New Dates (Sept. 13, 15) For Hydrofracturing Public Comments

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has announced the dates for rescheduled public hearings on the agency’s upcoming study of natural gas well hydrofracturing. Four sessions will be held at the Broome County Forum Theater in Binghamton, N.Y.; on Monday, Sept. 13, from noon to 4 and from 6-10 pm; and on Wednesday, Sept. 15, from noon to 4 and from 6-10. Sessions for public input have already been held in Denver, Dallas and suburban Pittsburgh.

Speakers must register in advance by calling 1-866-477-3635, or visiting the website here. Written comments on the study are being accepted at hydraulic.fracturing@epa.gov (write Hydraulic Fracturing Study Comments in the subject line), or by conventional mail sent to: Jill Dean, 1200 Pennsylvania Ave. NW, Mailcode 4606M, Washington DC 20460.
