This article got so many hits I decided to run it again!
Catt. Co. – Levi Detweiler, 17, of Leon is accused of attempting to elude police in a – slow speed horse and buggy chase?
Police say Detweiler ran a stop sign and then refused to pull over for officers. Police pursued Detweiler for about three quarters of a mile before he attempted to turn into a driveway at an unsafe speed, crashing the buggy into a ditch. Detweiler then fled from police on foot, but was later located in the local area by Detectives.
Two Amish men assisted police in freeing the horse from the crashed buggy.
Detweiler was charged with Underage Possession of Alcohol, Overdriving an Animal, Reckless Endagerment and Failure to Yield to an Emergency Vehicle.
Detweiler is free on $500 bail.
