Two Killed in Route 6 Crash This Morning

Victims of deadly crash identified

PORT ALLEGANY – Two people are dead as the result of a motor vehicle accident  that occurred early this morning at approximately 1:42 am on Route 6 between Smethport and Port Allegany, about a quarter mile east of the Pierce Brook Road in Keating Township.

Angela R. Loncosky, 30, of Olean, NY, and Lawrence E. Kelley, 24, of Port Allegany, PA, were both pronounced dead at the scene by McKean County Coronor Michael Cahill.

Police say Loncosky was driving a 2004 Volkwagen Jetta East on Route 6, when for unknown reasons, she failed to negotiate a right-hand curve in the roadway and lost control of her vehicle, crossing over into the westbound lane of traffic and striking an embankment. Loncosky’s vehicle then rolled over and smashed into a tree before coming to rest upright in a wooded area. Police believe Loncosky may have been speeding before the crash.

Both Lancosky and Kelley were wearing seatbelts.
