Police Blotter Update

COUDERSPORT – We recently reported that a Coudersport man was arrested on a multitude of charges, including Felony Aggravated Assault. Police have now released details in the case.

William J. Lindsley, 40, of Coudersport is accused of striking Michelle Lynn Nelson, 31, of Coudersport with his Jeep Grand Cherokee.

State police were dispatched to Mitchell Hollow Rd in Sweden Township for a report of an assault. After speaking with Nelson troopers learned that an argument began inside Lindsley’s vehicle, at which point Nelson exited the vehicle and began walking home. Shortly afterwards Lindsley is accused of running over Nelson with his Jeep and causing injury to Nelson’s leg. State police also reported that Lindsley was the under the influence of a controlled substance while driving.

Lindsley was charged with multiple Felony accounts of Aggravated Assault. He was also charged with DUI, Simple Assault, and Possession of a Small Amount of Marijuana. He was remanded to the Potter County jail in lieu of $100,000 straight bail. A Preliminary Hearing has been scheduled for June 29.
