Program On Energy, Natural Resources Tuesday Night

biomassA meeting on local energy and natural resource issues will be held Tuesday (Nov. 9) in Smethport at the Courtyard Restaurant on Main Street, starting at 6:30 pm.

Participating in a panel discussion will be Bryan Morley, a Potter County property owner who is using geothermal energy; Mike Hancharick of Kane Hardwood, a company that is leasing acreage for natural gas production; and Smethport Mayor Ross Porter, who is involved with a municipal biomass energy project.

Sponsors are the McKean County Conservation District, Penn State Cooperative Extension and the Farm Service Agency. Cost of $5.00 includes refreshments. Those planning to attend should call 887-5613.
