Marchelle Wallace, author of “Redneck Heaven,” will visit the Allegheny River Campground on June 30.

The Allegheny River Campground will host a Meet & Greet with Marchelle Wallace, author of “Redneck Heaven,” on June 30, 2012 at 2 pm.

Wallace’s book, set in an imaginary Potter County town, humorously celebrates the rural and rustic lifestyle of God’s Country. Filled with redneck and flatlander insults, flying spit, flying fruit and good old fashioned fun, the fun-filled read has become a hit within the Potter County community and beyond.

Guests will have an opportunity to meet and mingle with the main characters in Wallace’s book, Marlon and Meredith, while getting a sneak preview of her latest release, “Charmed and Enchanted in Redneck Heaven.”

Wallace, who resides in Germania, is a 2010 and 2011 Participant Winner of National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo), which challenges authors to begin writing on November 1 and complete a 50,000 word novel in one month’s time. Her participation in the program in 2010 resulted in the publication of her first novel, “Redneck Heaven.” In 2011, she completed her second novel through the program, “Charmed and Enchanted in Redneck Heaven.”

“We’re really looking forward to Marchelle’s visit,” said Carolyn Wise, owner of Allegheny River Campground. “Her fantastic sense of humor and insider’s views on life in God’s Country will make you laugh and cry all at the same time.”

Guests can purchase signed copies of Wallace’s books at the event, or bring their own copies for her to sign. Her books can be purchased on Amazon.com and are also available for download for Nook and Kindle.

Campers, day trippers, rednecks and flatlanders are welcomed and encouraged to attend. There is no charge, but pre-registration is appreciated. Please register by contacting the Allegheny River Campground at 814-544-8844 or info@alleghenyrivercampground.com.
