Rotary Pedals Out Polio – June 24 Bike Run Set

Over the past 20 years, Rotary members have immunized more than two billion children against polio in more than 125 countries worldwide. Prior to Rotary’s involvement, more than 1,000 children were infected every day with this crippling disease. Thanks to Rotary, cases of polio worldwide have been reduced by 99% to only 1,000 cases per year, and only 3 countries, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Nigeria are not polio free.

To raise money for this Polio eradication initiative, the Emporium, Coudersport and Galeton Rotary Clubs are sponsoring Route 16 of the ROTARY PEDALS OUT POLIO BIKE RIDE scheduled for Sunday, June 24th, and participants are asked to pre-register for the event online at http://www.district7350.org/view/96, http://www.district7350.org/view/96 or by calling Joe white:(Cell) 814-360-1544; (Office) 814-765-1611 Ext. 5516; (Home) 814-765-1859.
