Sustainable Resources – “What’s Happening Locally”

SMETHPORT – On January 23, 2012, a meeting of the Conservation Partners in McKean County will present Sustainable Resources – “What’s Happening Locally”, to be held at the Courtyard Restaurant at 505 West Main Street in Smethport.

This year’s session will start at 7:00 PM and feature a presentation on Sustainability – Transforming Waste Streams into Resources by Larry Shilling, Regional Vice President of Casella Waste Systems.

The evening will also include the presentation of the 2011 Conservation Partners Award, given to an individual to honor their outstanding dedication and commitment to conservation in McKean County.

The event is sponsored by the McKean County Conservation District, Penn State Cooperative Extension of McKean County and the Farm Service Agency.  There is a cost of $5 (payable at the door) and includes refreshments.  Please register by January 13th at 814-887-5613.
