Toomey, Sestak Tied in Senate Race

HARRISBURG – A Quinnipiac University poll released today has Pat Toomey and Joe Sestak even in their campaigns for a Senate seat.

The poll, which surveyed 1,367 Pennsylvania voters during the course of 6 days, shows both candidates at 43 percent. A May Quinnipiac poll released on May 13 showed Toomey with 42 percent compared to Sestak’s 40 percent.

Twelve percent of those polled says they are still undecided. Toomey leads Sestak 44 percent to 35 percent among Independent voters.

The sampling error margin for the poll is -/+ 2.7%.

Nearly four months remain before the November 2 election.
