Tornado Confirmed in Potter County

COUDERSPORT – The National Weather Service in State College has confirmed that an EF0 tornado touched down near Ayers Hill in Potter County on Wednesday.

Officials from the NWS and Potter County EMA reviewed the damage Friday.

The tornado first touched down near the intersection of Cherry Tree Lane and First Fork Road, west of Ayers Hill, before moving east/northeast for approximately a half mile.

A motorhome was flipped over by the tornado, damaging several vehicles in a residential driveway. Several homes in the area suffered roof damage as well. Approximately 30 trees were uprooted and damaged by the tornado.

Fortunately, there were no reports of injuries.
