The National Weather Service has confirmed that there was indeed a tornado yesterday during the severe storm system that passed through central Pennsylvania.

Officials say the tornado is listed as an EF-0 and struck near Lebanon County campground. Winds reportedly exceeded 80 mph.

The severe storms yesterday cut a 6 to 7 mile wide swath that stretched  from Hershey to Mount Gretna. The tornado damaged an area approximately 50 by 200 yards wide in the Thousand Trails campground in South Annville Township.

Damage from the tornado and the sever storms included downed trees, telephone poles, and even tore the roof off some structures.
