U. S. Senator Pat Toomey Town Meeting Wednesday

From Potter County Today

toomey United State Senator Pat Toomey (R-Pa.) will hold a town meeting, open to the public, on Wednesday (Aug. 31) at the Gunzburger Building auditorium starting at 1:15 pm. Those attending should use the Water Street entrance at the building, which is at 1 North Main Street in Coudersport.

Sen. Toomey will make a presentation focused on the federal debt, jobs and the economy. He’ll then field questions and solicit input from citizens. Toomey, a former congressman, is in the first year of his six-year term. He was recently appointed as one of six Republican members of a 12-member congressional panel that will devise a plan to reduce the federal debt. Formation of that committee was one condition that led to passage of a measure to raise the debt ceiling earlier this year, assuring the continued funding of programs such as Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid while Congress reckons with the debt.
