Update on Elk Catholic High School Lockdown

Officials have released details surrounding an incident in which all Elk Catholic and St. Marys public schools were locked down.

Police say the entire episode was the result of a prank by two high school students from St. Marys.

The ordeal began after a student from St. Marys, dressed as a janitor with a backpack, entered the Elk Catholic High School illegally. That student was later apprehended.

A second student, also dressed as a janitor, was later arrested by tactical police units at St. Marys High School.

Both students were eventually released to their parents.
