Webinar Today On Water Well Standards

From Potter County Today

A webinar open to the public on Wednesday, May 30, will focus on one of the most critical issues related to water well drilling. The hourlong session, which starts at noon, will feature Tom Christopherson, a water well standards program manager in Nebraska. Pennsylvania is one of just two states in the U.S. that do not regulate water well drilling. The live webinar, presented by Penn State Extension, can be viewed at https://meeting.psu.edu/water1.

Participants are encouraged to log in early, signing in as a “guest,” as the registration process can take several minutes. Christopherson has led groundbreaking research that documents the importance of proper well construction to avoid contamination of ground water and protect drinking water.
