Businesses and communities that would like to learn more about the impact geocaching is having on our region and ways they can tie into this latest craze are in luck.
The PA Wilds Planning Team wants to build on the trails conference it held last year by hosting a similar event this fall – this time with a focus on geocaching. This high-tech treasure hunting in the great outdoors brings thousands of people to the Pennsylvania Wilds each year (and great news – the popular Allegheny Geo Trail project, which reaches into the PA Wilds, has been extended to June of 2011!).
The Planning Team’s Trails Committee is working on the details of the conference now – the group is shooting for a day-long event in early November on various geocaching topics. Be sure to watch future editions of the E-Update for details!
