‘Holiday Mail For Heroes’ Deadline Extended
1 min readFrom Potter County Today
Potter County employees are supporting the American Red Cross Holiday Mail for Heroes campaign. Workers in the Assessment Office have signed up to help the Red Cross send messages to those men and women serving in the military, to be received in time for Christmas. They’re reaching out to the public in seeking support for the project.
It’s easy to participate. Basically, all you need to do is sign Christmas cards and take them to the Assessment Office in the Gunzburger Building (use Water Street entrance across from the Adelphia trailers). No stamps or envelopes are required. Just sign the cards and drop them off.
Here are some general guidelines: use generic salutations such as “Dear Service Member”; do not include email or addresses on the cards; do not include inserts of any kind, including photos; and do not use glitter. Cards are due by Wednesday, Dec. 7. Anyone with questions should call the Assessment Office at 274-0517.
