15-Yr-Old Arrested for Hit-and-Run in Stolen Pickup

BINGHAM TWP. – A 15-year-old male juvenile from Mills faces several charges after he allegedly took a vehicle without permission, crashed it, and then attempted to flee the scene.

Coudersport-based State Police say the teen was driving a 2002 Ford Ranger south on the Rowley Road, when for unknown reasons, he lost control of the truck and struck an embankment and fence.

The driver then fled the scene, but only made it to the Johnson Road before damage from the crash prevented him from traveling farther.

Police say the owner of the truck said the teen did not have permission to operate the truck.

As a result, the teen faces charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, as well as related summary violations.
