2 Vehicle MVA with Entrapment and Injury on Route 120

Two adult women and a 2-year-old boy suffered major injuries in this accident on Route 120.
Authorities say the accident happened as a car driven by 37-year-old Dr. Saira Bano, of Emporium, lost control on the snow-covered road and spun around, traveling into the path of a car driven by 33-year-old Bonnie Halquist, of St. Marys.
All three were eventually transported to the Elk Regional Medical Center.

Fire personnel from Elk County are responding to a 2 car motor vehicle accident on Route 120 just West of the Rest Stop.
Reported to be entrapment with injuries.
4:35 pm Personnel on scene are reporting one child and one adult trapped in the vehicle.
Two patients have been extricated and are being transported to the hospital.
A second female victim, who suffered minor injuries, is awaiting an ambulance to be transferred as well.
The roadway is extremely slippery and Route 120 traffic has backed up. Travelers are urged to utilize alternate routes until after 6:00 pm.
