Racers can sign up in advance by downloading a registration form or by visiting the library. The advance registration fee is $15.00 for adults and the first 75 pre-registered participants received short sleeve t-shirts. Registration on the day of the event is $17.00 and will be from 8 to 8:45 am at the library with the race starting promptly at 9am.
There will be a half mile Fun Run for children immediately following the race at Mitchell Park. The entry fee for children is $5.00 and children can register on the day of the event. There is no pre-registration for the Fun Run.
All monies raised by this event will go toward a new public library for the Coudersport area. The Coudersport Public Library has completely outgrown a 60-year old building that was put into service as a library in the 1970s after serving as a roller skating rink and community building at Mitchell Park since being erected in 1950. Having served the library needs of the Coudersport areas for more than 35 years, the cost of major renovations and an addition to the building would nearly equal the cost of constructing a new building. For this reason, the Library Trustees have decided to embark on a fundraising campaign to build a new library. A new facility, designed as a 21st century modern library, will be engineered to be energy efficient and fully handicapped accessible.
