3-Yr-Old Receives Stitches after Man Throws Ashtray

1 min read

HARRISON VALLEY – Josh Wheaton, age 30, of Harrison Valley, has been charged by State Police with simple assault and recklessly endangering another person, after he allegedly threw an ashtray, striking a 3-year-old toddler in the forehead.

Police say during an argument on September 27 Wheaton recklessly attempted to throw the ashtray across the room at a couch. Instead of hitting the couch, the ashtray struck the boy in the forehead, resulting in the child receiving stitches.

Wheaton was arrested and arraigned in front of District Judge Delores G. Bristol and released on $2,500 unsecured bail.

  1. clean up your back yard instead of worry about an\yone elee its not like he met it give me a break he is a good dad keep your thoghts to yours self

  2. Hmm.. so a “good dad” is one who displays his anger by throwing objects? Sounds more like a 4-year old to me.

I would think a good dad would be able to set an example by managing his anger and remaining calm, rather than grabbing and throwing an object inside the house, especially in front of his kid.

I’m sure he did not mean to hit his kid, but he surely did mean to throw the ashtray.. either way, not a good example for handling anger and stressful situations.

  3. Sorry, just smoking around a kid is bad enough. I see that alot around here. (That and fat women with tattoos.) You don’t have the best interests of the kid at heart if you do.
But who throws an ashtray when they get mad? That could have killed him. What a moron.
