Freightliner Crash on 15
1 min readTrooper TerryJeffrey Seal of the Mansfield PSP reports on a crash which occirred on 4-19-12 at 1250 hours on US Highway 15. A 2004 Freightliner driven by James Penders, 64, of Stafford JY was travelling north on US HWY 15 when the front left tire blew out resulting in Penders losing control of the vehicle, which then travelled into the median striking the guide rail and then sliding into a concrete barrier on th ewest die of the northbound lane of US HWY 15. The trailer of the vehicle then came off the unit, flipped over the concrete barrier and onto the southbound lane of US HWY 15 landing on its roof, its position of final rest. The vehicle turned onto its left side and slid approximately 350 feet north on US HWY 15 before coming to its position of final rest. Penders received a minor injury and was transported to Soldiers and Sailors by Laurel Health. No violations will be charged.
