WELLSBORO — A birthday party turned tragic Saturday afternoon when a 4-year-old boy at the gathering drowned in a backyard swimming pool.
Authorities on Sunday identified the child as Bryce DeBockler of Port Allegany in McKean County.
He drowned in a 4-foot-deep above-ground pool at the 2050 Charleston Road home of Jeff and Dawn Beckman at about 4 p.m., Tioga County Chief Deputy Coroner James Daugherty said.
