Hearing for Kinzua Dam Kidnapper Postponed

CANADA – Mike Beaulieu, the man accused of kidnapping and sexually assaulting a woman near the Kinzua Dam, is scheduled to appear in a Canadian court later next month after a hearing that was to be held on Tuesday was postponed.

Beaulieu was supposed to face charges of illegally crossing the Canadian border, illegal possession of a firearm and possession of marijuana during Tuesday’s hearing, but it was postponed as Beaulieu is undergoing psychiatric evaluations.

The US Marshals Service continues to investigate the matter, and believes that Beaulieu may have been responsible for other unsolved crimes.

Federal agents are continuing to work with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, the PA State Police and other law enforcement agencies to build a case against Beaulieu in the US.
