74-Yr-Old Olean Man Missing

Update: A disheartening end to the search for 74-year-old Frederic P. Seamans, of Olean, NY, who has been missing since Wednesday.
PA State Police found Seamans’ pickup truck on Friday, January 28 at 7:30 am in Venango County, PA. A search party was assembled, and located him approximately 3 hours later.
Sadly, he did not survive. Authorities say he died while attempting to transfer him to a hospital.
Police do not suspect foul play. Seamans suffered from early stages of Alzheimer’s disease.

OLEAN, N.Y. (WIVB) – Olean Police are looking for a 74-year-old man who has been missing since Wednesday afternoon.
Police say Frederic Seamans has early stages of Alzheimer’s and after leaving a business in Olean around 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, was seen heading west on Route 232 around 8 p.m. in Shippenville, Pennsylvania. It is unclear where he might be headed.
