20 years later 7th street bridge replacement a reality

COUDERSPORT – Twenty years after current Coudersport Borough Manager Marlin ‘Mud’ Moore began working on the Seventh Street bridge project, it has become a reality.

This morning, road crews took down the detour signs redirecting traffic across the temporary Fourth Street bridge, as the Seventh Street bridge re-opened.

Workers will now begin the task of dismantling the temporary bridge on Fourth Street, before re-erecting the old historic Seventh Street bridge in its place.

The Fourth Street bridge will then be opened to the public for pedestrian and bicycle traffic.

Officials expect the project to be completed in mid-August.
