Police Apprehend Suspect in High Speed Chase

At approximately 11:30 pm Saturday night police reported they were in pursuit of a Ford pickup truck on Rt. 607 heading towards Keating Summit. The driver continued on to Rt. 155 towards Emporium, and then on to Rt. 120 Southbound at which time police reported the driver in custody at about 11:50 pm.
The hot pursuit involved several police departments, and warranted Emporium putting an ambulance on standby.
According to several unconfirmed sources the suspect was celebrating his 21st birthday at the Friendly Inn in Roulette, and became combative after the bar refused to serve him more alcohol. It is said that he “trashed the bar” before the pursuit began.

Court records indicate that Austin police Chief Kyle B. Day filed charges against Kyle T. Bonneau (born 06/12/1989) on June 13, 2010 in District Court 55-4-01 for Aggravated Assault(F2), Fleeing or Attempting to Elude a Police Officer(F3), DUI(M), Reckless Driving(M2), and Recklessly Endangering Another Person(M2) among other summary charges. Bonneau was arraigned at 5:00 am Sunday morning in District Judge Barbara Easton’s courtroom and was remanded to the Potter County jail when unable to post $30,000 straight bail.
A Preliminary Hearing has been scheduled for June 17, 2010 at 12:00 pm.
