Sen. Casey Responds to Decrease in National Unemployment Rate
1 min readWASHINGTON, DC—U.S. Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) released the following statement after the announcement today of new national unemployment numbers:
“The reduction in the unemployment rate is another sign of the continued positive momentum in the economy. However, the good news of 103,000 added new jobs is tempered by the fact that 14.5 million people remain out of work and more robust growth is needed. Policy makers and employers must work together to create jobs and grow the economy.
“In the new Congress, I will work to promote American manufacturing, target unfair trade practices from countries like China and work with Pennsylvania employers to spur growth.”
