Auditor General Jack Wagner Calls for End to No-Bid State Contracts
1 min readHARRISBURG – Auditor General Jack Wagner has called for an end to no-bid state contracts being awarded
Wagner says $200 million a year could be saved by ending the process of awarding contracts without a competitive bidding process.
He also said that more than 500 no-bid contracts and 272 emergency contracts have been awarded over the course of the past year.
Wagner said that by allowing competition, the state would not only save more money, but the competitive process would spur more creative ideas.
