1 min read

Over $2,300 was raised as the result of a soup benefit held at Gauld’s Corner Store in Coudersport Friday.

The benefit was held to raise funds to assist the Thomas family.

Donna Thomas and her daughter Rebecca Thomas, were both the victims of a severe pedestrian accident that occurred in Coudersport several weeks ago.

Over 40 pots of soup were donated, as well as desserts, rolls and more. The benefit brought in a total of $2,330.

Corner Store owner Wendy Gauld thanked everyone who helped make the benefit possible, saying there was a tremendous turnout and the benefit was, “a very humbling experience for all of us here at the Corner Store.”

Donation jar/cans are still available in various local retailers for those wishing to still contribute to the Thomas family.
