Plane Crashes in Lock Haven
1 min readThree people are reportedly dead after an airplane clipped a porch roof and then crashed in Lock Haven.
Officials say the plane was attempting to land at the William T. Piper Memorial Airport around 1 pm when it clipped a porch roof and crashed onto East Church Street. The airplane burst into flames upon impact.
Three vehicles and the home were damaged, but no one on the ground sustained injuries.

UPDATE
Airport officials report that the plane was a single propellar Cessna, and that the aircraft personnel had radiod the tower to ask about landing and fuel, but did not relay any distress signals. They believe the aircraft was chartered by the State Forest service, but this is unconfirmed, and forestry officials have not released any information.
